Abstract of Transaction Between Valentine Hipp, his Mother and his Brothers On 02 Nov 1792, an indenture was recorded in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina between John Hipp, Geo Hipp, Jacob Hipp, Joseph Hipp, and Andrew Hipp all late of the county of Mecklenburg in the State of North Carolina and legatees of the estate of Steven Hipp deceased of the one part and Valentine Hipp of said county and state of the other part. Said John, George, Jacob, Joseph and Andrew for one hundred fifty pounds good and lawful money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid by the said Valentine Hipp have granted, bargained and sold to Valentine Hipp a certain tract or grant of land containing by estimation two hundred and fifty acres lying in the state and county aforesaid on the waters of Gar Creek on the eastern side of the Catawba river beginning at a corner W.O. Thompson and Beaty near the bank of said creek then along said line to his corner Hickory then along said Thomsons or Beaties other lines to George Elliots line then along his line then along Elliots other line to a W.O. then with Andersons line to a W.O. then with Thomsons line to beginning - the same being granted to Steven Hipp by his Majesty's Patent bearing date 17 Sept 1766 and willed to the said John, George, Jacob, Joseph and Andrew Hipp by the last will and testament of Steven Hipp...signed by John Hipp, George Hipp, Jacob Hipp, Joseph Hipp, Ann Hipp, Andrew Hipp...witnessed by John Nighton and Jorge ?Hooper

This Indenture made this 20 day of October 1797 Between David Allison of Mecklenburg County State of No Carolina of the one part + Valentine Hip of the other Witnesseth that the sd David Allison hath granted + sold by deed of Gift unto Valentine Hip a parcel of land being in sd County; On the east side of the Cataba river above Costers + Bighams; Matthew Pattons line; Frances Beaties corner Stake; to John Hips corner; then with sd John Hips line to the Beginning containing by estimation 155 acres of land...signed by David Allison...witnessed by Jno Neel and Will Neel

Abstract of Agreement Between Laban Rhodes and Valentine Hipp
State of North Carolina Mecklenburg County. Know all men by these presents I Laban Rhodes of the state of South Carolina + District of Newberry have constituted made appointed + by these presents do constitute make and appoint Valentine Hipp my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my name and stead and to my use, to ask, demand, sue for, levy, recover + receive all such sums of money which are or shall be due, owing, payable + belonging to me from the Estate of David Allison Deceased... In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of January 1811....signed Laban Rhoads...in presence of Stephen Hipp, Andrew Hipp...registered June 24 1811

Abstract of Deed Between Jackson Westmoreland and Andrew Hipp
This Indenture made April 10th 1810. Between Jackson Westmoreland of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina of the one part. And Andrew Hip of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that for the consideration of the sum of 500 dollars in hand paid to the sd Jackson Westmoreland. He hath given granted bargained sold convey + confirmed unto him the said Andrew Hip his heirs and assigns fore ever a certain piece or parcel of land Containing 105 acres on the waters of Long Creek...being part of a tract of land originally owned by Jno McKnitt Alexander by patent dated April 6, 1765...signed J. Westmoreland...witnessed by Valentine Hipp, Solomon (Query?)...registered January 30 1812
