Harry Tracy Orr of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina was interested in the history of Mecklenburg County and in the genealogy of the ORR family.

Among his accomplishments, he created an oak table, carving the words of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence into the surface.  President Eisenhower ate lunch at this table when he visited Charlotte.  The surface of the table now hangs in the Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library.

Mr. Orr also created a beautiful "wheel tree" of the descendants of James "Whistling" Orr.
