Will written: 26 Aug 1846
Will probated: Oct 1856 term
Being in good health, I give to my granddaughter Margaret M. Plummer, the oldest daughter of my daughter Susannah Plummer, a feather bed, bedstead, and cords, an under bed, two blankets, sheets, and quilts, a counterpane, two pillows and a bolster, a side saddle, bridle, and a saddle blanket, a riding skirt and mantle, a large dinner pot, and a table. I give to my granddaughter Susannah Amanda Plummer a feather bed with an underbed filled with feathers, two blankets, sheets, and quilts, a counterpane, a beadstead and cords, a large walnut chest with all its contents, a round walnut table, a red chair, a large spinning wheel, a reel, all my pewter, and a small pot. I give to my grandson Robert Morrison Alexander Plummer my new feather bed, a sheet, blanket, and quilt, and to my two daughters Asenath Strickland and Susannah Plummer all my wearing apparel and the remainder of my bedclothes, share and share alike.
I will to Silas Orr the plantation on which I now live, in trust for the sole use of my two said daughters, during their lifetimes, free and clear of the debts of Asenath and her husband, Moses Strickland. The said plantation is to be divided between my two said daughters who are to receive the side of the land they now live on. If either Asenath or Susannah should die, their part of my property is to be rented out by Silas Orr until the death of my other daughter, and the proceeds of said rental is to be divided equally among my three grandchildren, Margaret M., Susannah A., and Robert M. A. Plummer. At the demise of my other daughter my plantation is to be equally divided among my three said grandchildren; Margaret is to have the northern portion where Washington Plummer now lives, Susannah the southern portion where Moses Strickland now lives, and Robert the middle portion on which stands the house where I now live.
The remainder of my property is to be sold at public auction, and the proceeds arising divided equally among my three said grandchildren.
